Deborah L. White, Ph.D

Deborah White, Ph.D.Dr. White was born and raised in Massachusetts, where she attended Gordon College and received a B.A. in Psychology. She moved to Pasadena, Ca. to attend Fuller Theological Seminary, and received her Ph.D in clinical psychology and M.A. in theology. She received specialized training in work with older adults, caregivers, victim of trauma and visually impaired persons. She was instrumental in the development of an elder abuse intervention program in Pasadena and served as Assistant Director of The Center for Aging Resources, a clinic that comprised five programs for older adults across a continuum of care.

In 1991 Dr. White moved to Oregon and joined Willamette Valley Family Center in 1992. Since that time she has provided general adult and older adult clinical services to both women and men. Her clients deal with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, victimization/trauma, caregiver stress, adaptation to chronic illness or disability, grief/loss, faith issues and life transitions.
